-Music Vocabulary: learning and reviewing important note names, rhythms, and terms frequently used in rehearsals, solo works, and in sharing musical ideas, and pedagogy.

-Tone and Technique: intentional implementation of scales practice will develop technique and quick fingers. meanwhile, various exercises specific to students will cultivate a strong tone quality.

-Rhythm:  essential to music making, is the way that notes are organized. We will focus on having resources and knowledge to apply to learning rhythmic passages in the repertoire selected.
